PAST SIMPLE IN AFFIRMATIVE, NEGATIVE, INTERROGATIVE AND WH-QUESTIONS.

Simple past 
The "simple past" is used to talk about an action that ended at a time before the current one. 
Affirmative
When expressed in it affirmative form, the verb confirms something of the subject. 
Subject + verb(past tense)+ complement.
  • Añadimos -ed al final del verbo.

  • regular verbs: dance,play,walk...

Negative form 
Auxiliary verbs exist to make life easier for us. And in the case of the negative past simple, that's exactly what they do. To formulate the past simple in negative, you simply put didn't in front of the infinitive form.
-I didn't go to the movies yesterday.
-I didn’t go to school yesterday.
-They didn't go to work yesterday.
Didn’t is the contraction of did not. You won't find yourself did not very often, except in writing or when you want to emphasize something.
Interrogative form
The simple past of regular and irregular verbs * in its interrogative form has this structure: Did + subject + verb + complementy+ ? Did is the past form of the verb do. -Did I plant some trees yesterday? -Did I study about plants for the exams? -Did the school decide that all students should do exercise?--Did they travel all over the place?

We use the past simple interrogative, to ask questions about: Short actions, situations and events that happened and ended in the past.
