COMPARATIVES AND SUPERLATIVES

Comparative Comparative adjectives are used to compare a specific characteristic or quality between two or more things, animals or people.
The mouse is smaller than the owl.
El ratón es más pequeño que el búho.

Superlative 
Superlative adjectives express the maximum degree of a characteristic of an element with respect to others of the same group or condition.
The fastest car is the blue one.
El coche más rápido es el azul.
To build comparative and superlative structures you have to follow some rules:
In one-syllable adjectives, the final ending -er is generally added in comparatives. As for superlatives, the article the is added before the adjective and the ending -est is behind.
Exceptions Comparatives Superlatives
Si el adjetivo acaba en vocal -E Solo se le añade -R Solo se le añade -ST

En las palabras terminadas en consonante + vocal + consonante Se dobla la última consonante y se añade -ER Se dobla la última consonante y se añade -EST
