As their name suggest, quation marks indicate direct quatation. You can also use them to show that a word or a phras is being used ironically or for titles of articles, books, chapters, episodes of a tv, show etc
Apostrophe
An apostrophe has two important uses. Firstly it can be used in contractions in place of omitled letters secondly it can possesion.
Hyphen (-)
Used to join words to indicate that they have a combined meaning or that they are linked in the grammar of a sentence to indicate the division of a word at the end of a line, or to indicate a missing or implied element.
Colon (:)
It can intoduce an example, a list, an axplanation or to emphasize a point.
Semi-colon (;)
It creates a longer pause that a comma, but shoter that a full stop. It can create a pause between two different sentence that are closely related to each other.
Parenthesis { () }
A word, clause, or sentence inserted as an explanation or afterthought into a passage that is grammatically complete without it, in writing usually marked off by curved brackets, dashes, or commas.
